Bandipora, June 14: The 3rd Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Bandipora, organised a blood donation camp at District Hospital Bandipora on Sunday as part of its community welfare initiatives.

The camp was aimed at promoting voluntary blood donation and supporting the availability of blood for patients requiring transfusions. CRPF personnel participated in the programme and donated blood to strengthen the hospital’s blood reserves.

A total of 21 units of blood were collected during the camp.

Officials said the initiative was organised to raise awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and encourage greater public participation in such efforts. They noted that regular blood donation plays a significant role in meeting emergency medical requirements and supporting patient care.

The programme also reflected the continued involvement of the CRPF in community-oriented activities alongside its operational responsibilities.

Organisers highlighted that a single unit of donated blood can help save lives and urged citizens to contribute to voluntary blood donation drives whenever possible.
