New Delhi, July 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation through the 136th episode of his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat at 11:00 am on Sunday.
The programme will be broadcast across the Akashvani and Doordarshan networks, with regional language broadcasts to follow the original Hindi transmission.
According to a survey conducted ahead of the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat, the programme has reached around 100 crore listeners who are aware of and have listened to it at least once. The survey, commissioned by Prasar Bharati and carried out by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Rohtak, found that nearly 96 per cent of the country’s population is aware of the programme.
In the previous, 135th episode, the Prime Minister recalled the inauguration of the new campus of Nalanda University two years ago and highlighted the institution’s efforts to revive the tradition of reasoned debate. He said the practice encourages participants to present their views with logic and facts while listening to and understanding differing opinions.
He also urged higher educational institutions across the country to adopt similar practices.
Speaking on technological advancements, including artificial intelligence, Modi said the challenge is to preserve human creativity while embracing innovation and staying connected to the country’s cultural roots.
The Prime Minister also appealed to citizens to conserve water by saving every drop of rain and continuing efforts towards water conservation across the country.
