New Delhi: BJP leader RP Singh on Saturday said that Punjab MLA Sukhveer Maiserkhana had exposed the failures of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government by raising questions over staff shortages in government schools.
Reacting to the suspension of the MLA following his claims about school staffing, Singh said that Maiserkhana had held up a mirror to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and exposed the reality of the government’s claims about education and governance in Punjab.
Singh criticised the AAP leadership, suggesting that the action against the MLA raised questions about the government’s willingness to accept criticism and address problems within the education system.
The controversy has brought the issue of staff shortages in Punjab’s government schools into focus, with the BJP targeting the AAP government over its handling of the matter.
