Sikhs of America Provide Financial Support to Families Affected by Border Shelling

Jammu 24 May : In a compassionate act of solidarity, Sikhs of America have extended financial help to families who lost loved ones during recent India-Pakistan border shelling. The organization reached out to several grieving families in Jammu and Kashmir, offering much-needed assistance.

Bhai Ranjit Singh from Poonch was martyred during the shelling. He is survived by his elderly parents, who were left in a dire financial situation. Moved by their hardship, Sikhs of America presented them with a cheque of ₹1,00,000 to support their needs.

In another case, Bhai Amarjeet Singh lost his life in the same conflict. He left behind two children, aged 8 and 11. The organization provided a cheque of ₹1,00,000 to help with the children’s upbringing and to support the family in starting a small business.

Bibi Balwinder Kaur, from village Man Kot, also fell victim to the shelling, leaving behind two daughters and a son. Her children now live with their maternal grandparents. Recognizing their financial struggles, Sikhs of America gave ₹50,000 each to daughters Ravinder Kaur and Jaspreet Kaur.

These thoughtful contributions have brought a ray of hope to families facing immense loss and uncertainty, showing the strength of community and compassion across borders.
