Tehran: Iran has condemned the United States over a strike on a commercial vessel that killed three Indian sailors off the coast of Oman, calling the incident “armed robbery” and “state piracy.
”Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei expressed condolences to India and the families of the deceased sailors, while urging the international community to hold Washington accountable.
The remarks came after three Indian crew members aboard tanker MT Settebello were killed in a US strike, raising fresh concerns over maritime security and the safety of commercial shipping in the region.
