BANDIPORA, OCTOBER 13, 2026: Bandipora Police today apprehended a drug peddler at Mantrigam Pethkote and recovered approximately 610 grams of a charas-like substance from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Shabir Ahmed Lone, son of Mohd. Dilawar Lone, resident of Athwathoo, Bandipora.In this regard, FIR No. 28/2026 under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Pethkoot, and further investigation has been initiated.
Bandipora Police reiterates its commitment to combating drug trafficking and continuing sustained action against drug peddlers to achieve the goal of a drug-free society.
