New Delhi, India, June 13: Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, , will begin a series of student conventions across the country from Kota on June 17 as the Congress intensifies its campaign on examination-related issues and concerns affecting students and job aspirants.
According to , similar conventions will be held in Allahabad on July 10, Patna on July 11 and Delhi on July 14. The events are expected to bring together students, competitive examination aspirants, youth organisations, educators and others affected by examination-related controversies.
Venugopal said the campaign will involve outreach by the NSUI, Youth Congress and party units at various levels. Activities will include campus visits, interactions at coaching centres, universities and schools, social media campaigns, live screenings and direct engagement with students.
The Congress said the initiative aims to provide a platform for students to raise concerns regarding examination management, paper leak allegations and recruitment-related issues. The party will also reiterate demands raised by Rahul Gandhi, including decentralisation of NEET, abolition of examination fees, action against those involved in paper leak cases and accountability within the education system.
The campaign comes in the wake of the cancellation of NEET-UG 2026 following allegations of paper leaks and administrative irregularities. The examination has since been rescheduled for June 21.
Congress leaders said the conventions will focus on issues related to merit, transparency and equal opportunities for students and job seekers.
