Bandipora, June 15: Sameer Iqbal Bhat has resigned from the basic membership of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference with immediate effect.
In a statement issued in his personal Facebook post, Bhat wrote he had decided to step down from the party after careful consideration. He thanked the party leadership for providing him an opportunity to serve the people and contribute towards public welfare during his association with the organisation.
He said the experience, guidance, and support he received during his tenure would always remain valuable to him. Bhat also expressed gratitude to party workers, colleagues, supporters, and well-wishers, particularly those from Bandipora, for standing by him throughout his political journey.
Bhat stated that despite his resignation from the party, he remains committed to serving the people and working for the welfare and development of society.He also conveyed his best wishes to the party and its leadership for their future endeavours.
