Former Minister Questions Two Years of Performance, Alleges Unfulfilled Promises by NC, Calls Upon Workers to Unite Against Divisive Forces
Aloosa, Bandipora, kashmir : In a massive show of public support, former Minister and Ex-MLA Usman Majid today addressed a grand workers’ convention at Aloosa, Bandipora, where hundreds of party workers and supporters participated with great enthusiasm and pledged to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
Addressing the gathering, Majid strongly criticized the National Conference government, alleging that it had failed to fulfil the promises made to the people of Jammu and Kashmir during the elections. He stated that commitments regarding free ration, free gas cylinders, and free electricity remain unfulfilled, leaving people disappointed and questioning the credibility of the ruling dispensation.
Taking a sharp dig at the present MLA of Bandipora, Majid questioned what he described as the celebration over the initiation of the survey process for the proposed Bandipora-Sumbal National Highway. He said that the people deserve tangible development on the ground rather than symbolic announcements and publicity campaigns.
“The Bandipora-Sumbal National Highway is the dream of every citizen of Bandipora. We are equally committed to this project and sincerely want to see it completed for the betterment of our people. But celebrating the preparation of a survey report as if the foundation stone for the actual construction has been laid is nothing but making a mockery of public aspirations. The people of Bandipora deserve honesty and development, not political theatrics and empty celebrations,” Majid remarked.
He further asked the MLA to explain what substantial achievements have been delivered during the last two years and which promises mentioned in his election manifesto have actually been translated into reality for the people of Bandipora.
Referring to a recent press conference by the MLA, Majid claimed that the legislator himself had admitted that his voice was not being heard and that Bandipora was being isolated. According to Majid, such statements reflect ineffective representation and a failure to safeguard the interests and aspirations of the district at crucial forums.Reaffirming his commitment towards the people, Usman Majid assured workers and residents that they should remain steadfast and fearless in the face of present challenges.
“I stand like a rock behind every citizen of Bandipora. Difficult times do not last forever, and together we shall emerge stronger than ever,” he declared amidst thunderous applause and slogans from party workers.
He further called upon party cadres to maintain unity, strengthen organizational structures at the grassroots, and work collectively to defeat divisive and fringe elements that, according to him, seek to weaken the social harmony and political strength of Bandipora.
The convention concluded with workers expressing unwavering confidence in Majid’s leadership and reaffirming their resolve to continue serving the people with dedication, honesty, and a renewed commitment towards the development and prosperity of the district.
