New Delhi, July 1: Oil marketing companies have reduced the retail price of the 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 183.50, bringing its price in Delhi down to Rs 2,930 with effect from July 1.
The companies have also reduced the price of the 5-kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinder by Rs 13. Following the revision, the retail price of the 5-kg FTL cylinder in Delhi stands at Rs 808.50.
The latest reduction follows several price revisions over recent months. In June, the price of the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder was increased by Rs 29, raising its retail price in Delhi from Rs 913 to Rs 942.Earlier, on March 7, oil marketing companies increased domestic LPG prices by Rs 60 per cylinder following disruptions in global energy markets linked to the conflict in West Asia.
In April, the price of the 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder was raised by Rs 195.50 across major metropolitan cities. After that revision, the retail prices stood at Rs 2,208 in Kolkata, Rs 2,031 in Mumbai and Rs 2,246.50 in Chennai.
In January, the price of the 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder was increased by Rs 111, taking its retail price in Delhi to Rs 1,691.50. The price of the 5-kg Free Trade LPG cylinder was also raised by Rs 27 at the time.
The latest reduction is expected to provide relief to commercial establishments, including restaurants, catering services and small businesses that depend on commercial LPG for their daily operations.
