Bandipora, July 12: Former Minister and former MLA Bandipora, Usman Majid, on Sunday accused the National Conference (NC) of misleading the people of Jammu and Kashmir since 1947.
Speaking to the media, Majid alleged that the party had repeatedly failed to uphold the trust of the people during different periods of its rule. Referring to the National Conference’s protest at Jantar Mantar, he said he feared it could become another political exercise that may once again mislead the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Commenting on the development scenario in Bandipora, Majid alleged that the district had been neglected in the implementation of development projects. He said that while the government continued to publicise various initiatives through social media and public events, their impact was not visible on the ground.
Majid said the people of Bandipora deserved better development and effective governance. He urged the government to focus on the execution of development works instead of promotional activities.
