Bandipora, September 15: Bandipora Police arrested a person during naka checking at Sangri Top, Aloosa, and recovered about 53 grams of charas from his possession, police said on Tuesday.
The accused was identified as Umar Lateef Ganie, son of Mohd Lateef Ganie, a resident of Krankshiv Colony, Sopore. Police said he was intercepted while travelling from Kehnusa towards Watlab.
A case, FIR No. 149/2026, under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Post Aloosa, Police Station Bandipora. Further investigation is underway.
