New Delhi, September 19: A man was killed after an LPG cylinder exploded during a fire at a house in Delhi’s Moti Nagar area in the early hours of Saturday, according to the Delhi Fire Service.
The incident occurred at around 3:25 am in Gali No. 11, Sahapura, Tilak Nagar. The fire broke out on the ground floor of a ground-plus-two-storey house, following which an LPG cylinder exploded. The man died at the spot, a fire official said.
A message regarding the incident was received at around 4:30 am from Station Officer Batti Lal. The Delhi Fire Service deployed one water tender, one breathing fire tender and one water bowser to the site.

Six injured after residents jump from building amid factory fireIn a separate incident in North Delhi’s Swaroop Nagar area, six people were injured after they jumped from an adjacent building following a fire at a manufacturing unit.
According to police, the fire broke out on the ground and first floors of a building at Khasra No. 357/58 in Gali No. 2, Swaroop Nagar. The facility manufactured judo uniforms and boxing gloves.
Police said no one was injured directly in the fire. However, panic among residents of a building opposite the factory led six people to jump from the building. They were taken to a hospital and are out of danger, police said.
Fire tenders were deployed to the spot and the fire was brought under control.
