Ramban, J&k, July 11: The 84 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Friday hoisted a 61-foot-high National Flag at its Tactical Headquarters in Chanderkote, Ramban, on the banks of the Chenab River.
Speaking on the occasion, Commandant of the 84 Battalion, N. Ranbir Singh, said the Tiranga symbolises the nation’s honour, pride and the sacrifices made during India’s freedom struggle. He said the National Flag represents the aspirations of millions of Indians and holds special significance for members of the armed forces.
The flag was installed on a 61-foot mast within the CRPF headquarters in Chanderkote.
Meanwhile, as the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026 continues, the CRPF is maintaining security along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway through continuous Road Opening Party (ROP) operations to ensure the safe movement of pilgrims.
The 84 Battalion has also set up a Mobile Health Camp at Chanderkote, providing round-the-clock medical assistance to pilgrims and local residents.
The medical facility operates under the supervision of Commandant N. Ranbir Singh and is led by Senior Medical Officer Dr. Anantha Krishnan. The team, supported by paramedical staff, an Advanced Life Support ambulance and emergency medicines, is providing healthcare services during the annual pilgrimage.
