Bandipora, July 23: Security forces have intensified counter-terrorism operations across Bandipora district following the recent terror attack in Anantnag in which a police head constable was killed.
According to official sources, more than 130 suspected Over Ground Workers (OGWs) have been detained for questioning and verification as part of the ongoing security measures.
Officials said multiple raids and search operations are being carried out at different locations across the district based on intelligence inputs.
Security arrangements have also been strengthened with increased vehicle checking, frisking, area domination patrols, and surveillance at sensitive locations. Additional checkpoints have been established, and security personnel have been deployed across key areas to monitor movement and prevent any potential security threat.
The operations are continuing, and further action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigation, officials said.
