Bandipora, Kashmir, July 24: The ICDS Poshan Project Bandipora successfully organized a Zone-Level Teaching Learning Material (TLM) Competition to promote innovative Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) practices across Anganwadi Centres.
District Programme Officer (DPO) Yar Ali Khana visited the event and inspected the Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs) prepared by Anganwadi Workers from different blocks of the district. He appreciated the creativity, dedication, and efforts of the participants in developing child-friendly educational resources aimed at improving early learning outcomes.
Speaking with media, the DPO said that Anganwadi Centres are no longer limited to providing supplementary nutrition alone. They have evolved into centres of holistic child development, where children receive quality Early Childhood Care and Education through innovative Teaching Learning Materials and activity-based learning methods.
He emphasized that the use of TLMs helps children develop cognitive, language, social, and motor skills in an engaging and enjoyable environment, laying a strong foundation for their future education.
The DPO also appealed to parents and local beneficiaries to enroll their children in nearby Anganwadi Centres before the age of six years so they can benefit from quality preschool education, proper nutrition, health services, and overall development.
The competition concluded with appreciation for the participants, reaffirming the commitment of the ICDS Poshan Project Bandipora to strengthening early childhood education and ensuring a brighter future for every child.
