Bandipora, May 31: The 3rd Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Sunday paid homage to martyr Ct/GD MD Sultan Ganie at his native village, Chittibandi in Bandipora district.
A tribute ceremony was held in the Chaithaybandi where Commanding Officer and other officers of the CRPF 3rd Battalion, family members of the martyr, local residents, and students from Chittibandi participated and paid floral tributes in his memory.
During the programme, the martyr’s wife was also honoured by the CRPF as a mark of respect for the sacrifice made by the family.
The ceremony concluded with tributes to the fallen soldier and remembrance of his service to the nation.
