Saudi, 2 oct: Saudi authorities have denied reports circulating on social media claiming that a suicide bomber attempted to enter the Kaaba at the Grand Mosque in Makkah wearing an explosive vest.
Authorities said a man was arrested after allegedly harassing passers-by and causing panic at the site. They rejected claims that the man was carrying an explosive vest or had attempted to carry out a bombing.
The reports circulated along with footage that has also been linked to an earlier incident at the Grand Mosque. Authorities have urged the public to rely on official sources and avoid sharing unverified information.
