Bandipora, September 14: Apni Party District President Bandipora, Syed Shafat Qazmi, on Monday visited District Hospital Bandipora and joined the ongoing agitation of NHM employees, extending solidarity with their demands.
Addressing the protesting employees, Qazmi assured them that the Apni Party stands firmly with them and will raise their legitimate demands with the government at every appropriate forum.
He said the party would continue to support the NHM workforce in their struggle for their legitimate rights, job security, equal pay and regularisation, and would not hesitate to stand with them on the ground.
“We are with you and will go to any extent to raise your genuine demands with the government. If the situation demands, we will even come onto the roads and stand shoulder to shoulder with you in your struggle,” Qazmi told the protesting employees.
He further appreciated the contribution of NHM employees to the healthcare system, particularly their continued services to patients despite facing long-standing concerns related to employment and social security.
The visit added political support to the ongoing NHM agitation in Bandipora, with employees continuing to press the government for fulfilment of their legitimate demands.
