Bandipora, September 14, 2026:During dynamic naka checking at Shok Baba Sumlar near Hatchery, Bandipora Police intercepted a scooty bearing registration No. JK15C-5452.
During the course of search, police party of PP Sumlar lead by DO Sumlar recovered a polythene bag containing contraband-like substance Charas, weighing approximately 1.150 Kg (1,150 grams), from the said scooty.
The person in possession of the vehicle disclosed his identity as Haris Fayaz S/o Fayaz Ahmad Wani R/o T.A. Shah. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 148/2026 under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at (Police Post Sumlar), PS Bandipora, and further investigation has been taken up.
The accused has been arrested,while the scooty has also been seized as part of the investigation.
