Bareilly, Aug 5: A man from Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly district has been arrested after allegedly threatening to kill Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath within 24 hours, police said.According to officials, the accused called the emergency Dial 112 service and issued the threat, prompting an immediate response from the police.
Security agencies launched an investigation and traced the caller using surveillance and technical assistance.The accused was identified as Anil Kumar, a resident of Bareilly. He was taken into custody soon after his location was confirmed.
Police have registered a case against the accused and started legal proceedings. Officials said the motive behind the threat is being investigated, and further action will be taken based on the findings.
The incident has raised security concerns, with authorities stressing that any threat against public officials is treated seriously and investigated without delay.
