New Delhi, September 18: Buyers gathered at Apple Stores across India on Friday as the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max went on sale, with customers arriving hours before stores opened to purchase the latest models.
At Apple’s store in Bengaluru, a customer identified as Rahul said he had been waiting since around 5 am and described the annual iPhone launch as a festival. He said he had been purchasing iPhones since the iPhone 7 and had continued to buy a new model each year.
In Noida, customers lined up outside the Apple Store at DLF Mall. A buyer who travelled from Punjab said he had been waiting since 6 am and had booked two iPhone 18 Pro Max devices.In Bengaluru, another customer who upgraded from an iPhone 13 said he chose the new model because of its features and collected the device within five minutes.
In Maharashtra, a customer who received the first phone at the store said he had waited for around 10 to 12 hours to be among the first buyers.
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are available through Apple’s online store and six retail outlets in India. On launch day, Apple’s physical stores opened at 8 am and are scheduled to remain open until 10 pm.
The new Pro models are available in black, silver, glacier and burgundy finishes. They feature a 48-megapixel Fusion Main camera with variable aperture and new Pro camera controls. The devices are powered by Apple’s A20 Pro chip and include a vapour chamber designed to support performance, AI functions and battery life.
The iPhone 18 Pro starts at Rs 1,64,900 for the 256GB variant. The 512GB, 1TB and 2TB versions are priced at Rs 1,89,900, Rs 2,39,900 and Rs 3,14,900, respectively.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at Rs 1,79,900 for the 256GB variant. The 512GB, 1TB and 2TB models are priced at Rs 2,04,900, Rs 2,54,900 and Rs 3,29,900, respectively.
