Kabul, June 10: At least 11 children were killed and several others injured after Pakistani airstrikes reportedly hit residential areas inside Afghanistan during the night, according to local officials and media reports.

The strikes, which took place in the early hours, caused heavy destruction and triggered strong condemnation from Afghan authorities. Officials said women and children were among the victims as homes were damaged in the bombardment.

The incident has further increased tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan, with Afghan leaders calling the attack a violation of the country’s sovereignty and demanding accountability.

Authorities are continuing rescue and assessment operations in the affected areas, while the international community has expressed concern over the loss of civilian lives.
