Ranchi, Aug. 5: Social activist Sonam Wangchuk has extended his support to the ongoing students’ protest in Jharkhand, giving fresh momentum to the movement over recruitment related demands.
According to protest leader Devendra Nath Mahto, Wangchuk expressed solidarity with the students and their campaign in Ranchi.Speaking during the protest, one of the students said they were inspired by Sonam Wangchuk’s peaceful movement and were following his path.
The student warned that if the government fails to accept their demands in the coming days, the protesters will launch an indefinite hunger strike.The students are demanding that their concerns regarding recruitment and examination issues be addressed without further delay.
They urged the government to hold talks and take quick action to resolve the matter.The protest continues in Ranchi, with students saying they will intensify their agitation if no positive response is received from the authorities.
