Israel, 11 may : Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned that the conflict with Iran is “not over,” even as a US backed ceasefire remains in place. Speaking about the ongoing tensions in the Middle East, Netanyahu said Israel had successfully damaged Iran’s nuclear and missile capabilities but stressed that more action is still needed to stop Tehran’s nuclear ambitions completely.

Netanyahu strongly insisted that Iran’s highly enriched uranium stockpile must be removed from the country and its nuclear facilities dismantled under strict international supervision. He said the preferred path would be a diplomatic agreement in which Iran agrees to give up its near bomb-grade uranium.“You go in, and you take it out,” Netanyahu said while explaining how the uranium should be physically removed to ensure Iran cannot move closer to developing a nuclear weapon.

According to international nuclear monitors, Iran still possesses nearly 970 pounds of highly enriched uranium. The remaining stockpile continues to raise serious concerns in Israel and Western nations, who fear Tehran could eventually use the material for military purposes if tensions escalate further.

Netanyahu also repeated Israel’s position that it will continue taking necessary steps to protect its national security and prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power. His remarks come at a time when regional tensions remain high despite international efforts to maintain peace through negotiations and ceasefire agreements. The latest statement is expected to increase diplomatic pressure on Iran while also keeping global attention focused on the future of Tehran’s nuclear programme and stability in the Middle East region.
