Tulail: Awareness camps were organised at Badugam and Gratnar in Tulail to educate senior citizens about their rights, welfare and financial security under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.
The camps were held under the Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojana, with a focus on digital and financial literacy among senior citizens.During the programmes, participants were informed about the provisions of the Act, available welfare schemes and the importance of digital and financial awareness.
Officials also encouraged senior citizens to make use of government services and welfare facilities available for them.The initiative aimed to empower elderly people in the remote areas of Tulail by helping them understand their rights and access essential government services safely and independently.
