Bandipora, Kashmir June 17: Director Horticulture Kashmir, Vikas Anand, on Wednesday visited the departmental pear orchard at Chikreshipora in Bandipora district to review horticulture activities and ongoing developmental works.
During the visit, he inspected the orchard, assessed the condition of fruit crops and reviewed various initiatives being undertaken to promote horticulture in the area. He stressed the importance of scientific orchard management and directed officials to ensure proper maintenance of the departmental orchard.
The Director interacted with field staff and discussed measures aimed at enhancing productivity and improving the quality of horticultural produce. He reiterated the department’s commitment to strengthening the horticulture sector and extending necessary support to growers.
Vikas Anand was accompanied by Chief Horticulture Officer Bandipora, Pawan Kumar Thakur, Incharge Departmental Orchard Chikreshipora, Tahira-un-Jamal, and other departmental officials.
The officers also reviewed ongoing developmental works at the orchard and emphasized the need for their timely completion to support the growth of the horticulture sector in the district.
