New Delhi, June 29: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has rejected claims made by Class 12 student Vedant Shrivastava regarding alleged irregularities in the revaluation process, stating that the allegations are factually incorrect.
In an official statement, the board said that Shrivastava had claimed through a social media post that his marks increased by only one mark in two subjects and that there was no change in his Physics score after revaluation. CBSE clarified that his Physics marks increased by nine marks following the re-evaluation process.
The board said that around 99.7 per cent of the revaluation applications received after the declaration of Class 12 examination results have been processed. The remaining applications are in the final stage of review and the results will be announced shortly.
CBSE also stated that the process of declaring revaluation results for 2025 began on June 27 and is scheduled to conclude on July 11.
Vedant Shrivastava had earlier drawn attention on social media after alleging that his original Physics answer sheet had been exchanged with that of another student. His post on the social media platform X had raised concerns regarding the evaluation process of CBSE Class 12 answer sheets.
On June 21, CBSE had announced the phased release of Class 12 verification and re-evaluation results, stating that more than 87 per cent of the applications received had already been processed.
In a post on X, the board informed students that the remaining results would be released in phases and assured that the entire process would be completed soon.
