Owaisi Questions Centre Over Possible Fuel Price Hike

latest NewsOwaisi Questions Centre Over Possible Fuel Price Hike

Hyderabad: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi over recent appeals to reduce fuel use and cut oil imports amid global market uncertainty.

Owaisi said the Centre’s statements may be a sign that petrol, diesel and aviation fuel prices could go up after Assembly elections. He questioned why the government did not speak about rising fuel costs during the poll season.

The Hyderabad MP said common people, already facing inflation and rising living costs, would suffer the most if fuel prices increase. He added that higher fuel rates would affect transport, food prices and other daily expenses.

His remarks come as global crude oil prices remain unstable due to international market tensions.
