Ranchi, Aug. 6: The Jharkhand government has constituted a panel of Cabinet ministers to hold talks with students protesting alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations, reaffirming its commitment to ensuring justice for the state’s youth.
State Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore said the Hemant Soren-led government is serious about safeguarding the interests of students and urged protesters to participate in dialogue to find an amicable solution. He assured that the government would take appropriate action after hearing the students’ concerns.
Meanwhile, the Crime Investigation Department (CID) has intensified its probe into the alleged irregularities in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) recruitment examination. With the latest arrests, the total number of people held in connection with the case has risen to 19, while investigations are continuing to identify others allegedly involved.
The protests over the recruitment issue have entered their second week, with students demanding a transparent investigation, strict action against those responsible, and reforms to ensure a fair and credible recruitment process.
The government hopes that the newly formed ministerial panel will help resolve the deadlock through dialogue while the CID continues its investigation.
